In search of new radios for the San Bruno Police Department

Our April 11th meeting featured Detective Oliver Reich, W6BAR, of the San Bruno Police Department. Oliver shared the department's plans for replacing their present radio system due to inadequacies in the present system which at times mean that an officer becomes out of touch with his dispatch center because of his location or the sturcture of the building or parking structure he is in. Also, new state mandates must be met and cannot be met with the present technology that the San Bruno Police currently use.
